Residential Interiors Album name 0 photos Richmond kitchen 2 Spacious kitchen remodel with built in refrigerator. Beautiful plaid barstools accent the floors and walnut countertop. Richmond kitchen I custom-designed this wall to enclose a fireplace and television. The architectural interest on the cabinet doors, the wallpaper behind the television screen, and a marble surround for the fireplace emphasizes the custom features of this home. A pair of crystal chandeliers are the icing on the cake. Modern Windsor dining room This modern dining room was created to adjust to the clients’ every day life. I began with neutral tones to create a sense of calm and continuity, then I added pops of color and artwork. The lighting and architectural details give this place a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Richmond Kitchen 1 Creating contrast colors on the range hood and mantle give this large kitchen added warmth and interest. The range hood is framed with custom cornice boards. Windsor farms modern dining room This view of the dining room shows the color contrast of the dining table and chairs with the china cabinet. Basket weave tile kitchen Basket weave tile give amazing texture to this kitchen wall and backsplash area. I added an extended window treatment for a bit of sparkle. Girls bedroom with antique bed Antique beds are the beginning of these precious little girls’ rooms. An array of colors and textures is a reminder of their sparkling personalities; the rainbows and butterflies add to the enchantment of the children’s rooms. The monogrammed cornice board is a classic touch to this design Colorful girls bedroom This bedroom angle emphasizes the color from floor to ceiling. Especially in children’s designs, the details take on a new meaning. I used elements from family heirlooms to create artwork that would become a part of the overall design of the space. Windsor farms kitchen I wanted to use circular shapes in the lighting fixture and dining table to balance the brick walls and angular architecture of the cabinets. The original abstract artwork, with sunny painted walls and succulent plants, add to the clarity, balance & beauty of the space. Blue dining room I took the opportunity in this space to showcase the shape of the space and emphasize the high ceilings by adding architectural details and color. The dramatic window treatment softens this area while adding style. The casual poster chairs and the family friendly elegance of the rug and chandelier makes this eating area memorable Parisian inspired bedroom After a trip to Paris, my clients were inspired to create a space that was reminiscent of the hotel that they stayed in. I utilized striped wallpaper, hydrangeas and blue woven fabrics, along with a variety of cotton twills, to create a soft and comfortable environment. Modern kitchen and bar I wanted to add drama to this spacious kitchen area, but it was sizing the contemporary range hood with a wall of mosaic tile. Adding modern light fixtures, new window treatment, and beautifully contrasting painted walls help to make this kitchen a wonderful gathering spot. Living room with tile fireplace I custom-designed this mantle and bookcase to suit the personality and style of the client. The tile fireplace relates to a tile wall around the kitchen range hood. High ceiling sunroom The thing I love most about this design, aside from the views, are the custom drapery and wrought iron hardware. Using multiple fabrics with the darker color being up top helps to exaggerate and compliment the high ceilings. I designed a custom-made rug that is perfect with their existing furniture. Rat pack inspired office This space is created for the ultimate rat pack enthusiast. My intent was to create a space that is multi-functional, allowing my client to utilize it partly as an office and partly as an entertainment area. Geometric velvet and leather are the stand-outs when creating this super-retro den. I designed and had built the custom entertainment piece for the record player and albums. Boys Americana room A room renovation for a wonderful ten-year-old boy Girls magical playroom When my clients first came to me, they were in the process of looking for a new home to raise their young daughters. They showed me the attic, and told me that it would just be a place to "store stuff." My designer mojo kicked in, and I told them that the attic was a perfect size for it to become a magical "girls studio" for their daughters to play, create, and grow. Well, they agreed, and voila! I love my job. Transitional kitchen design This was a complete custom kitchen remodel where we opened up the space to more than double its original size. I utilized my space planning talent to open up the area and provide a kitchen that works for not only preparing meals, but a great space for the children to do homework and other activities. Green breakfast room This phenomenal space was created to be a place of merriment for my special young clients, the optimal place for them to grow, learn and create. Colorful walls, fabrics and architecture make this space perfect for simulating the minds of growing girls. Pictures are ordered After, During, and Before. Transitional living room This transitional living room is within the same house as the transitional kitchen. I designed this airy, intellectual space for my client and her two brilliant little boys.
